World Environment Day provides an opportunity to look more closely at the materials and processes behind the spaces we create.
At Fenabel, environmental management forms part of our approach to furniture manufacturing. Our Quality and Environment Policy guides the management of resources, the assessment of environmental impacts and the improvement of our processes.

Real Practices for a Greener Tomorrow
We translate our dedication to sustainability into concrete, measurable actions across our manufacturing facility:
- On-site solar electricity generation – Solar panels installed at our factory generate electricity from sunlight. This installation is one of the measures incorporated into our management of energy resources.
- Reuse of wood offcuts – Suitable wood offcuts are reused to manufacture smaller components. Other wood residues are used for heating through biomass combustion. These are distinct uses: material reuse and energy recovery.
- Fabric options containing recycled material – Our fabric selection includes options containing recycled fibres. Composition and recycled content vary by fabric and should be assessed using the documentation for the selected reference.

Certified Frameworks for Product Longevity
For Fenabel transparency is a fundamental pillar of our global sustainability strategy. One of the most effective ways to champion sustainability is to eliminate the culture of disposability by engineering high-quality chairs built to withstand high-traffic hospitality and corporate layouts for decades.
Fenabel holds ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 9001 quality management certifications within their respective certified scopes. These certifications concern management systems; they do not constitute an environmental certification of every chair or table.
Our PEFC Chain of Custody certification concerns the control and traceability of forest-based materials within its certified scope. A product’s PEFC status should be confirmed for the specific order.

Furniture specification involves choices about materials, finishes, intended use and maintenance. Environmental characteristics should likewise be considered for the particular product and configuration selected.
