Nuno Barbosa

Graduated in technical design furniture in 2002, in Porto, and with extensive experience  focused on furniture design, Nuno Barbosa started his career in a recognized furniture company, allowing him to early recognize and adapt his projects to the user’s real needs and market requirements. Since 2006, it is part of the internal product development team of Fenabel.

Andreia Patrício

Andreia is graduated in Equipment Design by the Faculty of Architecture of Lisbon. His professional career began in the furniture industry, having developed parallel work in interior design and decoration.

Studio SAGITAIR | Giacomo Cattani

After finishing his studies, Giacomo Cattani began his professional life as a freelancer Interior architect, but his passion for interior design made that in 1990, together with some classmates, he founded Sagitair Studio. With experience in various jobs in different sectors, he developed a multidisciplinary approach and a particular style, that always following the trends, attributes to his work a unique organic.

Tuomas Markunpoika

Tuomas Markunpoika was born in Jyvaskyla, Finland. He went to study furniture design in Lahti Institute of Design in 2006 where he graduated in 2010 and moved to Amsterdam for an internship at Marcel Wanders. He continued his studies at Design Academy Eindhoven, MA Contextual Design .
Since graduation, Tuomas’ work has gained immediate recognition. His ‘Engineering Temporality’ collection was nominated Furniture Design of the Year by London Design Museum in 2013 and exhibited in galleries, museums and art fairs internationally.
Tuomas Markunpoika is now an Amsterdam based designer working from his studio in an old shipyard at NDSM. With his work he aims the elevate the tedious functionality of everyday objects bringing mystery and wonder by using various material in different mediums. His project range from industrial design to limited editions and one-off pieces for galleries and private clients.

AGV Studio | Aitor Garcia de Vicuña

Born in Vitoria in the 70s, he studied Industrial Design at the San Sebastian Design School and later at the Experimental School of Design of Madrid. In addition to his course, he participated in several interior design projects. He worked several years in various engineering studios until he becomes partner and coordinator of the industrial design department at Spiral Comunicación. In 2003, he founded AGVestudio, developing internal projects of industrial design, always centered in the housing world, work spaces and street furniture.

Area44 Design Studio

Davide Carlesi and Gian Luca Tonelli, both born in the ‘70, at the end of the ‘90 began to attend to the industrial design, taking part to exhibitions and workshops. Their first works gave them great visibility in Italy and abroad, with articles on important sector magazines. The trade mark “Area 44”, as they undersign, expresses the common will of searching to give objects an essential “Style”, a combination between formal rigour and lightness, as per their vision of beauty.
